Be sure to like and subscribe to this channel to get all of the latest content and videos.

In this episode of Mental Health Verses, I’m joined by Buffalo-based hip hop journalist, Schondra Aytch.

Schondra talks about how the music she listens to resonates with her spirit. Schondra’s influences come from her parents and their active participation in contemporary hip hop/gospel music. She also discusses her role as a journalist and how she is forging a way for the next generation of young black women.

The songs Schondra discusses on this episode that support her mental health are:

Joey Bada$$ – Christ Conscious

Jazmine Sullivan – Silver Lining

Tonex –  ‘Bout a Thang (now known as B. Slade)
